​    바람이 그대를 흔들고 갔다는 소식, 들었습니다. 그대가 꼿꼿하지 못해서가 아니라, 누군가의 울음을 그대가 참고 있기 때문이라고. 그대가 한순간에 바람을 흔들었다는 소식, 들었습니다.

 

   그대 티끌이 되어 눈 속에 콕 박히는 느낌, 생각해보니 소식보다는 언제나 전율이 먼저 옵니다. 그렇습니다. 그대가 초록에 물 드는 시간을 평정한다는 가을입니다.

 

   모든 소식 끊어주십시오. 이제 불멸을 약속하지 않겠습니다. 다만, 그대를 대신하여 참아줄 울음이 내 안에도 가득합니다.
